FNSB Child Care Assistance
Fairbanks, Alaska
For many families, the cost of child care can be a considerable
financial burden and an obstacle to choosing quality care. The
Fairbanks North Star Borough administers the Child Care Assistance
Program to help families with the cost of child care so they can
work, participate in job training and/or education programs.
What We Do
The Fairbanks North
Star Borough has been helping families pay for child care since
the late 1970s.
Contact Us
We're located in Suite D, on the first floor of the School District
Administrative Center on 5th Avenue. Office hours are Monday through
Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. You'll find more contact information
below.
How We Are Funded
The
State of Alaska Department of Health & Social Services, Division
of Public Assistance receives funds from the federal Child
Care Development Fund. The state distributes the funding to communities.
Borough tax dollars are not used to pay for child care.
