The FNSB hired a consultant, Nortech Engineering and Industrial Hygiene    Consultants, in June 2005.  Assessment work to date includes a Project Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan, and a Quality Assurance Project Plan which have been approved by the ADEC and the EPA.  Preliminary Hazardous Waste Characterization of accessible barrels has been conducted and development of a Waste Disposal Plan is underway. 

The FNSB also submitted an EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant proposal / application on December 12, 2005.  Award of the EPA’s 2006 Grants will be announced in the Spring of 2006.
