Tanana 440 Land Development Project

The Borough Department of Land Management has contracted with Kalen and Assoc. to complete the development objectives described by the FNSB Assembly Ordinance in early 2007. Those development objectives are:

1.  Acquire aerial photography on the property for planning purposes;

2.  Complete an Access Analysis describing the surrounding impacts this development will have on the road system and realistic solution to those impacts;

 

3.  Develop a Master Plan that compares 3 possible development scenarios;

i. Plan A

 

– No variance required, utilizes current RE-4 zoning;

ii Plan B

– Cluster Development;

iii. Plan C

– Varied Zoning, RE-2, RE-4 and large parcel with trail network; and

4. Submit a Plat for the survey and dedication of the main arterial road connecting Cripple Creek Road to Tyler Road, dedicate a 30’ trail easement and create two tracts. 

To date we have had two public meetings, the last was held at the Chena-Goldstream Fire Station on November 13, 2008. There was a great showing from the neighborhood and we received many comments which are being collated and will be available on this website soon.
