An appointment is required to drop items at this facility. Call to set up an appointment.

 The Fairbanks North Star Borough Solid Waste Division's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility accepts household and CESGQ* hazardous waste every Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am - 4:00 pm.

  • FNSB Households - FREE /  *CESQG's - nominal fee

  • Maximum amount accepted is 220 lbs. per month (approximately 26 gallons)

* Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESGQ) -
A generator (business) is a conditionally exempt small quantity generator in a calendar month if it generates no more than 220 lbs. of hazardous waste in that month. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency CFR 40 261.5.

Explosives, medical, radioactive, and unidentified wastes are not accepted.
